Blue Butcher Bird

One of my frequent visitors, are the aptly named “Butcher” birds. They are, at first glance, reminiscent of a bird wearing the finest of black plumages, but as the sunshine reveals, they have feathers of the deepest hues of midnight blue. Their calls are loud and very musical on the ear. I know who’s in my garden instantly. On sight, they appear strong and dominant among the Tropical landscape, and they are incredibly skilled hunters too.
