I am a frequent visitor to Yungaburra and Lake Eacham on the Atherton Tablelands. It is a fabulous area to explore, especially for day trips and quiet weekends away. It is home to the Curtain Fig Tree, and many species of feathered friends. One of my favourites is the Spectacled Monarch, with its dark head, chubby belly, and yellow ochre plumage. I have been lucky to spot them in their habitat; and it is definitely, one of my favourite birds!
