The Sooty Owls are my interpretation of my treasured relationships with women. I have many fantastic women in my life, and you all know who you are. As daughters, sisters, friends, mothers, and grandmothers we share our lives and experiences with each other. We always stay connected through the ups and downs, sharing, communicating, and celebrating our lives together.

My sisters are resilient, autonomous, intelligent and respectful. We cherish education, creativity, individuality and the relationships we have with each other. Empowered women, empower other women, and this painting is a special symbol of that empowerment.
