Boobook Owls often sit together in a group, and during the painting process, I followed my thoughts, and arrived at the notion of “brotherhood.” I thought of the many sets of brothers I know, both familial and also those who speak of the importance of ‘mateship’ (an expression often used in Oz), shared interests and valued connections. I thought about the support, care and respect I have seen brothers show, through the good times and the bad.

This painting comes complete with a professionally fitted floating frame in black. This painting is acrylic on stretched canvas with a profile edge of (2cm) painted in black and comes ready to hang in its new home.
