Eastern Spinebill

Eastern Spinebills are specialist feeders, their extremely fine beaks and long tongues can reach into the tiniest tube-shaped blossoms. I often see them in the wild, perpetually foraging, darting in, and gone in seconds. Their high metabolism and restless nature creates a challenge during rehabilitation or raising an orphan. The adult male was a joy to paint with such a wonderful russet brown breast!

Professional photography is used for all images of these artworks and all are printed on Hahnemuhle (315gsm) Museum grade archival paper.

Free domestic shipping in Australia is included for Sylvie's Limited-Edition Prints. Each print is packaged and shipped from the RIMAAD studio, in Palm Cove, Queensland.
