Spotted Pardalote Juveniles

Spotted Pardalotes often nest in our suburban gardens. A crevice in the brickwork or a hole in an embankment is hot property and jealously guarded. Delicate chicks emerge whilst still fluttering low to the ground and are targets for domestic pets. Sadly, they are regularly handed in when all it takes is a day free from interference while they move to higher shrubs. I recorded these tiny babies to increase awareness of this fragile stage in their development.
