Buster the Banksia is one of those paintings that fit into the category of "a labour of love" and took 6 months to complete. The painting itself was completed by working through a layering process over time.
When I work through layers, I work intuitively and with specific techniques, and never force the process or start with preconceived ideas. Buster emerged over time and pays homage to my deep appreciation for our beautiful array of Australian native blooms.
